Last week, the Year 12 Hospitality class delivered all the food donations from the secondary students to Urban Angels at Maroochydore.

They had a tour of their kitchen and witnessed firsthand how the meals were produced for people in need. This is a wonderful group of volunteers who give up their time each week to make 15,000 meals each month. They deliver up to Gympie, Nambour and Beerwah areas and support a large population that would otherwise go hungry. 

This was a great opportunity for the students to see what the community does, and hopefully, one day they will also be able to make a difference in people’s lives.

Also, Urban Angels relies solely on donations and food leftovers from the community (OzHarvest) to make all these meals each week, as they get no government support.
