Waiting Pools
In all cases, early submission of the Enrolment Application is recommended due to waiting pools in some year levels. If enrolment cannot be offered at the time of application, an applicant’s name will be placed in a waiting pool for the requested year of entry. If the request can't be fulfilled for that year the application will be automatically rolled to the next year. Applications on the waiting pool are valid for three years or until the first refusal of an enrolment offer.
College Considerations for Admission
When making offers of an interview which may, in turn, lead to an offer of a place at the College, the College considers the following in no particular order:
whether the child has siblings currently enrolled at the College;
whether the applicant is a child of a current College staff member;
whether the child is within a family who are active members of a Christian church including a pastor’s reference;
children or grandchildren of former students of the College;
the social and academic balance of the existing year level cohort at point of entry;
sons or daughter of ministers of the Baptist denomination;
evidence of a place at a similar Christian school elsewhere in Australia or overseas if a family relocates to the area;
a student’s willingness and ability to contribute to the wider life of the College;
evidence of a student’s good character and leadership skills;
the alignment of the family’s beliefs and values with those of the College;
gender class balance; and
the lodgement date of the Enrolment Application.
As places at the College are in high demand, we encourage families to apply for enrolment as early as possible and we accept applications from birth. Please note that all admissions are at the sole discretion of the Principal.
It is important to keep up to date with school reports/NAPLAN to ensure your application remains current. This is a condition of being in the waiting pool. It may be of benefit for you to forward us copies of school reports as they become available throughout the years and we will attach them to the Enrolment Application to maintain its currency. Please mark these for my attention. You may email them directly to: [email protected].
