Exciting Times in the Kitchen Garden!

Our Kitchen Garden is bursting with life and activity! Each day at first break, primary students have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and get involved in a range of hands-on gardening adventures. From raising seeds and planting seedlings to harvesting fresh produce and searching for bugs, there is always something exciting happening!

One of the highlights of the garden is our newly built frog pond. Not only has it attracted a few friendly frogs, but birds have been seen enjoying a refreshing bath, and native fish are now calling it home. Insects are also popping by for a drink. It’s wonderful to see how our garden is creating a thriving habitat for local wildlife!

We invite parents and grandparent helpers to share their gardening wisdom and lend a hand with different activities. Whether it’s assisting with planting, helping students discover new insects, or guiding little green thumbs in the garden, your support would make a big difference. If you’re interested in joining in, we’d love to have you!

To keep our garden growing, we welcome donations of seeds, gardening tools, watering cans, pots, and anything garden-related. If you are cleaning out the shed, think of us. Every little bit helps to provide students with hands-on learning experiences and keeps our garden flourishing. If you have any items to spare, please drop them off at the Kitchen Garden.

Next term, we have even more fun in store with two brand-new groups launching at break times. The Bug Club will be all about exploring the tiny creatures that call our garden home, while the Food Creation group will focus on using our fresh produce to make delicious treats.

We can’t wait to see our Kitchen Garden continue to grow and flourish! If you’d like to get involved, come along at first break and join in the fun.
