CURRENT Vacancies:


Glasshouse Christian College invites applications for a Teaching Assistant for our Primary School. The position is five days per week during school term time, 8am to 3:15pm.

Experience working with Primary School students and/or a formal qualification in Education or Educational Support will be looked upon favourably.

Applicants with the following qualities are encouraged to apply:

  • Current First Aid Certificate, specifically HLTAID004 - Provide Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting
  • Demonstrated experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:
    • First aid delivery and compliance;
    • Diabetic management of young children including administering injections; and
    • Educational Experience.
  • Evidence of currency of a Paid Blue (i.e. Queensland Working with Children) Card
  • Comfortable with word processors and low level spreadsheets and School or Medical Administration Systems.
  • Excellent intra and inter-personal skills.
  • A sound knowledge of office processes and procedures;
  • Demonstrated identification with the Christian Ethos of the College

The successful applicant will work five days per week from 8:00 am till 3:30 pm for 40 weeks per year.

Instrumental Music Tutor - Brass P-12

About the role:

Are you passionate about music and skilled in brass instruments? Do you have a desire to share your knowledge and inspire the next generation of musicians? If so, we want you to join our team as a Brass Instrument Teacher!

Position: Brass Instrument Teacher

Location: Glasshouse Christian College, Beerwah

Hours: Casual position; however, you must be available to teach Wednesday 8.50-10.50 am


The Instrumental Music Tutor provides individual and group based instrumental lessons to students along with leading or assisting with the leading of a College band, ensemble, choir or vocal group. Specifically the IMT is responsible for;

  1. Provide high-quality brass instrument instruction to students of all ages and skill levels.
  2. Develop personalised lesson plans tailored to each student's goals, abilities, and learning styles.
  3. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment conducive to musical growth and development.
  4. Prepare students for performances, recitals, auditions, and competitions as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other music teachers and staff to promote a cohesive and enriching musical education program.
  6. Stay updated on current trends, methodologies, and repertoire in brass instrument instruction.

What we are looking for:

  1. Relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  2. Ability to teach a variety of ages (Primary and Secondary). Experience in preparing students for exams would be advantageous.
  3. Previous teaching experience preferred. Willingness to mentor and guide students through their musical journey.
  4. Hold a current, valid Blue Card as required under the Working with Children.
  5. Proficiency in playing brass instruments such as trumpet and trombone. Knowledge of French horn and tuba is also desirable.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students. 
  7. Proven ability to work as a constructive member of a team with a professional, courteous manner
  8. Passion for music education and a commitment to fostering a lifelong love of music in students.
  9. Maintain a degree of flexibility in working hours from time to time as required for the position.

CLEANERS: Full-time, part-time and casual

Glasshouse Christian College is looking for full-time, part-time and casual cleaners to join its dynamic team. 

Is it time to give up the office job and take on a satisfying full-time position that helps your fitness at the same time? Maybe you just want some part-time or casual work to get on top of interest rate hikes or save for that special holiday. 

GCC cleaners are valued members of our staff with the same benefits and sense of belonging everyone enjoys. 

These positions are for an immediate start and the hours shall be any four-hour block between 3:00pm and 11:00pm each weekday (20 hours per week) for the part-time position and from 3:00pm to 11:00pm each weekday (37.5 hours per week) for the full-time position. The casual positions will also be in four-hour shifts but as needed with a maximum of 20 hours per week.

The successful applicants will be physically fit as these jobs are physically demanding and include significant carrying tasks. Previous cleaning experience and sympathy with the College ethos will be highly regarded.
