Congratulations to the following Primary Millionaire Readers, who have read over 1,000,000 words on the Literacy Pro program this year. We celebrated their ‘marvellous’ progress with an ‘M’ themed party with the Readers Cup team this week. The latest Millionaire reading achievements can be found on the Primary Library Gateway page.

At the end of Semester 1, Year 3-9 students have completed 10,854 quizzes and read a total of 50,718,699 words, achieving the following milestones:
- 58 students have reached the Bronze Lexile Level
- 20 students have reached the Silver Lexile Level
- 26 students reached the Gold Lexile Level
Reading consistently and for enjoyment is the key to the Literacy Pro program. Students are encouraged to select books in their interest area and at a ‘good fit’ reading range to develop their reading stamina and comprehension skills. New books are regularly added to the Lexile collection and eBooks are available online, along with Short Reads cards in the classroom. We look forward to seeing further growth in the program throughout the year and unveiling our Gold Lexile Gallery to celebrate the amazing reading achievements of our students.
