On Tuesday 13 February, a team of GCC’s best swimmers represented us at the Sunshine Coast Secondary District Swimming Carnival held at Sunshine Coast Grammar School.
Congratulations to Joshua Collins for winning the 14 Boys Age Championship. Joshua finished 1st in three races and 2nd in three races. This is a fantastic achievement. Caitlin Moore also gets a special mention for finishing 2nd in three races and 3rd in one race. All place getters are listed in the table below.

Congratulations to all students who represented our school at this event. All swimmers gave their best effort and many competed in a multitude of events throughout the day. GCC finished in 8th place overall ahead of Nambour Christian College and just behind Suncoast Christian College on points.
Congratulations to Joshua Collins and Caitlin Moore on their selection to represent GCC at the regional trials. They will each be competing at this next level across six separate events. Chloe Dunford has also been able to submit a qualifying time for the 400 IM and is up for selection to represent at the State trial.
