Each year our college invites students to participate in the Sunshine Coast Regional Readers Cup competition held at various points across the year depending on the year level. The final competition for 2022 was held on Thursday October 20 at Maroochydore State High School. Our keen Year 7 Team – Zara Watson Brown, Sophie Sharma, Laura Cifuentes, Zac Watson and Mahlia Shiel kept their reading motivation going until they had read all 5 books in time for the Regional Sunshine Coast competition.
From the ‘big reveal’ of the books during Book Week right through to the competition evening, these students chatted about their favourites and encouraged each other to keep on reading right up to the last minute! The challenge of fast quiz questions and the pace needed to quickly write answers kept the level of excitement high. Well done to our team for their enthusiastic effort, positive attitude and for their love of reading!
