The Year 6 captains enjoyed the special leadership training day at Maroochydore Waterfront Camp, organised by the Sunshine Coast Independent Primary Heads Association. They joined their counterparts from a variety of independent schools across the Sunshine Coast for a day of challenges and self reflection.
Activities were designed to help students make a good impression on others and to develop their conversation skills. There were team building challenges such as dragon boat racing and the ‘Pipeline Challenge’ which involved building a mammoth marble run. Students learnt to use leadership techniques such as ‘rally the troops’ and the ‘big up’ and they will now be passing on these techniques in the coming weeks to all the other students in Year 6.
The students are to be commended for being outstanding ambassadors to the College throughout the day.
