Year 5 were excited this week to welcome Steve from Street Science, who came to teach us about the properties of light. We had such a fun time learning about how light travels and reflects.

Steve brought along a lot of activities for us to experiment with. We were able to make glow in the dark bracelets and experiment with which type of light made them glow the most. We saw the effects that distance had on shadows. Red laser lights helped us to find out what happened when we put different prisms in the light beams and we also made light go around corners! It was such a great learning experience as we explored all of the different activities!
