Wow! What a fabulous time we had in Year 5 during our Significant 72. It was great fun to take the first week of school and spend it getting to know one another and doing some fun activities. We had such a great time!
We kept busy by going to the high school art room where we got to have a really interesting art lesson painting with VEGEMITE and TOOTHPASTE! We painted Australian animals to celebrate Australia Day and they were so amazing! Who would have thought that you could paint such amazing pictures with Vegemite?
Sketching in the tranquility of the bush surrounding Coochin Creek was another adventure that we went on. We walked from school to the creek, sat in the shade, ate ice blocks, watched the water, listened to the sounds of the bush and sketched the beautiful landscape. It was the perfect location to have our devotions as we marvelled in the beauty of God’s creation all around us.
Mrs Offord and Jasmine Andrews were our superstar helpers on Friday, when they came to our classes and cooked us pancakes! It was a delicious treat and wonderful way to end a great week.
