On Tuesday, 90 enthusiastic Year 4 students headed to Eastern Oval for an unforgettable hands-on science adventure. Armed with curiosity and a sense of wonder, they dove into the fascinating world of forces—exploring how air pressure, gravity, and friction work together to send flying vehicles skyward.
With bottle rockets in hand, students weren’t just spectators—they were rocket scientists! They asked thought-provoking questions, prepared to conduct their very own fair-test investigations. The highlight? Building, launching, and measuring the incredible thrust of their bottle rockets, all while uncovering the secrets of aerodynamics, flight paths, and propulsion. This was more than a lesson—it was an extraordinary day of high-flying fun!
As they watched their rockets soar, it became clear: science really does take you to new heights! A massive big thank you to Cran Middlecoat, founder of It’s Rockets for a wonderful day!
