Year 3 was fortunate enough to take a trip to Australia Zoo this week.
In English, we are learning about information reports. We are writing about endangered and Australian animals.
We started our trip at the zoo with morning tea and headed down to Africa. We took a closer look at all the African animals and learnt about their habitat, physical features and so much more.
Later we explored the zoo finding animals of all shapes and sizes. A few of our favourites were the meerkats, lemurs, and tigers. We also got to pat some adorable kangaroos and saw the koala enclosure!
We ended the day watching the spectacular show at the Crocoseum where we watched in awe at the super speedy birds and the enormous crocodile called Scrappa! We had the great privilege to see Robert Irwin in action with the crocodile. We were very lucky that the rain held off for the day. As we boarded the bus we had some very tired students, parents and teachers at the end of the day. A fun day was had by all!
