Year 2 started off with a bang of adventure. On our second day we brought our scooters and attempted to head to Skippy Park for a day of laughs, friendships and fun. On the way we discovered that the park was getting new turf so the two big buses full of 84 children headed to Pioneer Park. Once we arrived at our new location, we sat down and had an ice-block for a treat. We were then able to play in the park enjoying the whole Year 2 adventure.
Due to our change of location we weren’t able to use our scooters, so once we were back at school we had a ride around the OLA. The kids were so flexible, adaptable and understanding of the changes and we all still had a great day.
Thursday also brought some fun with a whole Year 2 sandcastle building competition where we enjoyed building a creation of whatever we desired. After looking at all the castles and smiles we voted on some of our favourites. With many memories made we are ready to continue this Year 2 adventure with more laughs, friendships and learning. Who knows what adventures the next few weeks, terms and year will bring?
