Year 11 Camp 2024: Creating Memories and Building Bonds

I am thrilled to share the amazing experience of Year 11 Camp 2024 with you all! This year, our destination was the picturesque Lake Moogerah Bush Retreat, and what an unforgettable journey it was! From thrilling adventures to heartfelt moments of reflection, the camp was a perfect blend of fun, learning, and camaraderie.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the camp was the sheer variety of activities on offer. From the adrenaline rush of mountain biking to the serenity of early morning swims in the lake, every moment was filled with excitement and adventure. Our dragon boating escapades, complete with impromptu singing sessions, added a touch of harmony to our days on the water. As night fell, the forest came alive with the laughter of students playing spot light and the crackle of the campfire as we roasted marshmallows under the starlit sky.

But it wasn’t just about the thrill of outdoor activities. Our time at Lake Moogerah also provided moments for quiet reflection and personal growth. Through messages from our teachers, we were encouraged to delve deeper into our faith journeys, challenging us to explore our beliefs and values. Writing affirmations to one another proved to be a deeply moving experience, fostering a sense of unity and support among students. Reading these affirmations was a reminder of the positive impact we can have on each other’s lives.

Moreover, the camp served as a platform for strengthening friendships and forging new connections. As we tackled archery tag, hiked over rugged rock faces, and engaged in spirited card games, bonds were formed that will last a lifetime. It was heartwarming to witness how students from diverse backgrounds came together as a cohesive unit, united by shared experiences and mutual respect.

As we bid farewell to Lake Moogerah, we carry with us not just memories, but valuable lessons and newfound friendships. Year 11 Camp 2024 was more than just an excursion—it was a journey of self-discovery, personal growth, and collective bonding. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to embark on this adventure together, and we look forward to cherishing these memories for years to come.

Here’s to the spirit of camaraderie, the joy of adventure, and the beauty of shared experiences!
