On Wednesday 12 March Year 1 had a visit from the amazing Ang at Eco-Bugs. Students got to learn about the importance of insects in the garden and their role in our ecosystem. Ang introduced Year 1 to microhabitats such as worm farms and showed them how easy it would be to make one at home. The best part was when students got to hold wiggly worms and a stick insect. We also played fun games and enjoyed hands-on experiences to build knowledge about composting and recycling and an awareness of what we can implement in the garden and school environment.
