As we step into a brand-new school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to all our families, both new and returning. The start of a new year is always filled with excitement and possibility, but 2025 is particularly special—this year, we celebrate 25 years of Glasshouse Christian College!
A Milestone Year for GCC

This silver anniversary is a testament to God’s faithfulness, the dedication of our staff, the commitment of our families, and the incredible students who have shaped our College community over the past 25 years. We have exciting celebrations and events planned throughout the year to honour this milestone, reflect on our journey, and look forward to the future. We hope these moments will bring joy, connection, and a deep sense of gratitude as we mark this significant achievement together.
Our 2025 Bible Theme – Isaiah 40:31
Each year, we select a Bible verse that serves as our guiding theme, and for our 25th anniversary, we have chosen Isaiah 40:31:

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
This verse has a deep-rooted connection to our College’s history. During the early days of GCC, when our very first buildings were under construction, Mrs Sue Fraser and Mrs Cheryl Bryers visited the worksite and saw the exhaustion of the workers. They shared this verse as a message of encouragement and strength, and from that moment on, Isaiah 40:31 became a cornerstone of our College’s journey. It is a powerful reminder that when we place our trust in the Lord, He renews our strength and gives us the perseverance to overcome challenges.
A Year of Growth and Opportunity
As we embark on another year of learning, faith, and personal growth, I encourage our students to take this verse to heart. Whether you’re stepping into Prep for the first time, tackling the challenges of Year 12, or somewhere in between, know that you are not alone. God’s strength is with you, and our College community is here to support and uplift one another.
To our families—thank you for your continued partnership and trust. Your involvement, encouragement, and prayers help shape GCC into the thriving, Christ-centred school that it is today. Let’s make 2025 a year of celebration, renewal, and unwavering hope as we soar into the next chapter of our College’s story together.
Blessings,
Mike Curtis, Principal
