Vana Day – Wednesday 20 June 2018

VANA is a Christian organisation that aims to build a future for the children of Zimbabwe, especially orphaned and vulnerable children. VANA provide resources to a variety of projects in Zimbabwe with the goal of breaking the poverty cycle. They connect with local churches and ministries to enact this. Our Primary students support our two sponsor children, Lawrence and Tadiwa from Zimbabwe, with donations that are collected each week at assembly.

Each year a team of people from the Sunshine Coast visits one of the VANA projects in Zimbabwe.  The primary SRC has decided to hold a VANA-Themed Free Dress Day on Wednesday 20 June 2018 to further support this worthwhile ministry and help the children of Zimbabwe. We are requesting that students bring a $2 donation to donate towards VANA and wear free dress in the colours of the Zimbabwe flag – yellow, green, black or red. Please note that any free dress clothing worn needs to be sun-smart with appropriate logos.  Hats and enclosed shoes are also required to be worn.

What’s Happening: VANA-Themed Free Dress Day – wear yellow, green, black or red

When: Wednesday 20 June 2018

Why: To bless VANA kids and raise money for VANA ministries in Zimbabwe

Don’t forget: Bring a $2 donation to wear your yellow, green, black or red clothes

The SRC are looking forward to supporting VANA ministries and the children of Zimbabwe. If you would like to know more about VANA ministries, including information about how to further support them, please visit www.vana.org.au.
