The University of the Sunshine Coast hosted a Robotics and Coding day and some Year 8 students attended and experienced the puzzling and complex world of using computer coding to control machines, specifically Lego EV3 Mindstorms.
At the event, the students were able to create and program lines of code to make their robot complete various challenges and solve problems. They discovered the wonders of learning to code through Lego which gave them the opportunity to use a physical problem-solving tool in their coding exercises.
It was a great platform for them to pursue their interest in coding.
