Glasshouse Christian College’s Open Day is just around the corner on Saturday 21 May between 10am and 2pm. If that date rings a bell, it’s because it is also the day the Federal Election is being held. We are expecting a big turnout and have planned accordingly.
Our 2022 Open Day will have traditional favourites like student performances, delicious food and free activities, but this year there are three exciting differences.
Our Performing Arts Theatre will be in full swing. Many of the student music, dance and drama performances will be held in GPAC and visitors will be able to see it in full use for the first time. Last year, we could only glimpse the partially completed building.
We are adding a rock-climbing wall to the free activities. Base Zero Rock Climbing are bringing out their big one which can hold five climbers at a time. There will still be a free jumping castle, Brisbane Roar soccer inflatables and train rides around campus. This year, Helping Hands have kindly sponsored the animal farm so that will continue to be free also!
3. New food truck vendors
We still have some of the old favourites like our fantastic P and F barbeque, Neshama (loaded fries), Calamari Canteen, our Tuckshop, Mr Whippy and Donut Kitchen and this year we are welcoming Bumblebean Coffee and Twisted Toppings (woodfired pizza).
We will be running two tours of our Agricultural Science farm on Open Day. This is one of the rare opportunities parents and caregivers have to see the farm in action. Bookings are essential so register early to hold your spot: Agricultural Farm Tour booking.
We are expecting lots of new families enquiring about enrolling their children however, GCC’s Open Day has increasingly become about our current families enjoying the school facilities, seeing their children perform and having a fun day out.
We are looking forward to seeing you at Open Day, please RSVP here.
