Our exploration of scientific concepts continued in Year 6 with a wonderful science symposium provided by the Science Factory. The collaborative learning space, known to us as L8, was transformed into a scientific wonderland with 30 interactive investigations set up for the students to explore. Experiments included the Mindstorm Lego Robots, flight simulation, virtual reality glasses, balance activities, brain teasers, electric circuits and optical tricks.
We hope you enjoy the photographs and some of the highlights the students shared after the event.

I enjoyed learning that there can be a reversible reaction, like the liquid in the bottle and how when you shake it, it goes blue then back to clear again.
It was great seeing how infinity mirrors work.
I enjoyed learning the science behind all these wonderful tricks, like balancing nails on each other.
The best part of the session was trying everything out and learning new things about science.
The virtual reality goggles were like riding a roller coaster without having to pay for tickets!
