“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” – Mother Teresa
Do you remember kind words that may have encouraged you when you were young? Perhaps a teacher, a coach or a relative changed the trajectory of your life by the way they spoke to you, speaking positive words of love and acceptance that encouraged you.
Our words have a unique power and Proverbs 16:24 reminds us that sharing “kind words are like honey–sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” A life can be changed forever with as little as a single phrase or an uplifting word.
As we begin a new term together we are going to be focusing on how we can use kind words, thankful words, truthful words, faith-filled words, encouraging words and positive words to build each other up and encourage one another.
In the Primary School we often talk about how we do things in ‘Our House’ – Glasshouse Christian College. We want the power of our words to be positive and to support our College G.R.E.A.T values.
This week, our focus is on saying ‘Thank You’. When we say thank you, not only do we brighten someone’s day but we feel much better about ourselves along the way.

Thank you for partnering with us as we encourage our children to develop hearts filled with thankfulness and an “attitude of gratitude.”
Here is a very cute trailer called, “Eric Says Thanks” for your enjoyment.
