The learning in Year 6 has been lit up recently by two inspiring special visitors. Each class enjoyed hands on investigation with the Big Bang science crew. The students were challenged to create electric circuits in order to operate switches, bulbs, buzzers, motors and fans. Fortunately, the sun was out and so they also explored different energy sources such as solar and wind power.
The following week, all of Year 6 were treated to a special visit from our very own High School Science teacher, Mr Libby. Shock waves literally passed through the crowd as we experienced the Van de Graaf generator, leaving some of us with our hair standing on end! The students enjoyed the hands on circuit investigations and mastering the ever-tricky crocodile clip.
We hope you enjoy the photographs below.
