SCISSA Volleyball
What a fantastic week of sport for GCC. Congratulations to the five Volleyball teams that played off in the SCISSA Grand Finals. The games were nerve-racking to say the least with scores extremely close and most games going right down to the wire. Our teams did exceptionally well to make it this far and to win 3 out of the 5 Grand Finals, this was a fantastic result for our school.
The results were as follows.

25-22, 23-25, 15-13.
Junior Girls A Defeated Suncoast CC 2-0.

Monday Night Netball
Our senior girls Netball team played Maroochydore SHS on Monday night at Fishermans Road. The girls performed extremely well as a team to win the game 29-17. Megan Kennedy was the player of the match.
Triathlon Roberts Road
On Tuesday this week GCC combined with Beerwah SHS for the running of the annual Roberts Road Triathlon. Our GCC athletes competed strongly with all of our teams placing among the top three finishers. Our individual athletes also finished strongly on what were extremely humid conditions. Actual results will be emailed out to competitors when the convener makes them available.
That’s a wrap for Term 1. We have the Rugby 7s, Senior Volleyball and Cross Country Races kicking of in Week 1 Term 2.
