The annual Sunshine Coast MLTAQ Foreign Languages Poster competition was held in Term 1. The topic this year was the United Nations International Year of Indigenous Languages. The topic challenged students to think about the importance of native languages in the society, and the role of languages as a means of communication, socialising and belonging.
Our students did well in the competition. Amelia Siddans took the first place in the Year 8 French category, and Brooke Gledhill and Indiah Loveday’s posters both got the mention of Highly Commended in the Year 7 French Category.
