We jumped out of the bus and ran to take a few ‘selfies’ in front of the Eiffel tower… it was night and we’d just enjoyed a night out in Paris, with dinner at a creperie and a theatre experience to remember! The Eiffel tower shone before us, “beautiful”, “amazing”, unbelievable”!
But wait… that was only our LAST night in Paris!
Heading off on the adventure of their schooling lives, 16 GCCC students, one parent and 6 staff members arrived in Paris to spend the holidays exploring the culture, history and language of France. Beginning with a small medieval town, the days flew as the intrepid adventurers climbed the Eiffel tower, ran through the Louvre (stopping to say “hi” to the Mona Lisa), stood in awe of the palaces at Versailles and Fontainebleau and ransacked an ancient Roman village and a castle or two. They paused to remember at the Somme, visiting Villers Bretonneux and ended their journey at Normandy.
Wait! Don’t forget the food, coffees and shopping! It was Paris after all!
