Glasshouse Christian College was well represented in the Glasshouse District team with five students competing at the Sunshine Coast Regional swimming championships. Estelle Collins, Sacha Stokes, Cooper James, Ava Scott and Carter Clark all swam great times and competed strongly against some very classy swimmers with many personal best times being swum.
Estelle was our highest placing swimmer finishing in the top ten in her three events. She also swam personal best times in every race which was a great result.
There were also four secondary students competing at the championships. Josh Collins swam the 50m freestyle in a spectacularly fast and close race. He is just .3 of a second outside the qualifying time for the National Club Championships. He finished fourth in this race but just missed the qualifying time. He is so close and will keep aiming for this time!
Indianna Loveday, Iris Rzoska and Ben Chidgey also swam great races finishing in the middle of the field.
Josh qualified for the Queensland State Championships and we know he will swim well at this Championship and we look forward to hearing his results.
