It is so great to have everyone back at school and back to normal PE lessons. We have been so impressed with the PE activities and other active endeavours the students have been doing at home. Thanks for your help with these activities – we have been impressed by the circuits everyone has designed and we have really enjoyed watching the videos students have made. We hope you are all feeling fitter and stronger as I am sure many parents have joined students in the circuits and other active activities.
We are looking forward to getting back into lunchtime sport practises. We will be doing soccer, touch and athletics training in the next few weeks. Mr Bennett is also starting some sports and games at lunchtimes for different year levels for those who would like to join in.
Before school athletics training will begin in Week 7. We will meet on the Northern Oval at 7:30am every Tuesday and Thursday morning. We will include running, jumping and throwing coaching during these sessions. This training is for Year 3 and older students but capable younger students may come along too.
The GCC Cross Country due to be held this term has been postponed to later in the year. We will confirm this date when it has been decided. The GCC Athletics Carnival is still planned for Week 2 in Term 3 but this date will also need to be confirmed as changes are made to Covid-19 restrictions.
At this stage all District and Regional Representative School Sport is cancelled until 30 June 2020. We will keep you informed as soon as we get notice of the resumption of this program.
