Term 4 Begins!

I hope you had a wonderful time with your child over the last holidays. Term 3 is always a hectic term for the Senior School as we prepare for Year 12 that need to be sent away for verification. It is great to have holidays to relax and recharge ready for this last term for the year. It is a very short term with Year 12s graduating in only weeks time – I’m sure they will give you the countdown!
Please put these events in your calendar:

Week 2

Monday 14 October – Year 11 students will attend a full day leadership training day led by Peer Power. This is a fantastic program and I’d like to see every Year 11 attend this program.
Wednesday 16 October – Mock Interviews. Year 10 students come to school prepared for a mock job interview.

Week 3

|Monday 21 October – Student Free Day. Staff will be involved in Professional Development as well as representing the College on various Senior Verification Panels.
Friday 25 October – Dance Day of Excellence. This will involve approximately 20 students from across the school who have worked hard and achieved excellent results in Dance.

2013 Awards Night – 6:30pm, Tuesday 5 November
Caloundra Events Centre
Please put this in your diary. This is the first year we are holding this important event at the Caloundra Events Centre and we will be combining with the Middle School to make this a memorable and enjoyable evening. I would like all students to attend this event.

Please pray for our students and staff as we finish the year as well as plan for 2014. It is wonderful knowing that God holds us tightly in His hands but it is also comforting knowing that our parents and friends are praying for us throughout this busy term.
