Like all art forms, dance has the capacity to engage, inspire and enrich all students. Is your child gifted in dance or are they looking to be part of a dance team for enjoyment and expression? Here at GCC we offer several opportunities for students to be challenged or simply enjoy the joy that dance creates. In Secondary, the College offers four different dance troupes catering to all levels and abilities.

Middle School Hip Hop Troupe

Middle School Hip Hop Troupe is a non-competitive dance troupe, encouraging students in dance techniques while enjoying dancing within a team. This group will perform at College events throughout the year. 

Cost – $100/year

Rehearsal – Every Monday 2nd break during term time 1pm-1:30pm

Middle School Boys Crew

Middle School Boys Crew is another non-competitive dance troupe, encouraging students in dance techniques in hip hop, popping and locking while enjoying dancing with their friends. This group will perform at College events throughout the year. 

Cost – $100/year

Rehearsals – Every Wednesday 2nd break during term time 1pm -1:30pm

Middle School and Senior School Dance Troupes

Middle School and Senior School Dance Troupe are for students who want to extend their dance ability and be part of a competitive team. Specialising in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and musical theatre, this group competes at eisteddfods throughout the year and will perform at College events.

Cost- $250/year 

MS Dance Troupe Rehearsals – Every Monday 7:30am – 8:15am & Thursday 3pm – 4pm during term time

SS Dance Troupe Rehearsals – Every Monday 3pm – 4pm & Friday 7:30am – 8:15am during term time

Auditions will be held in Weeks 3 and 4 for both Middle School Dance Troupe and Senior School Dance Troupe. No auditions are required for Middle School Hip Hop Troupe or Middle School Boys Crew.
