12:30pm: Here is the message being emailed to all parent/caregivers:
I have been in contact with Glasshouse Country Coaches and they are not running any services tomorrow.
Landsborough SS and Beerwah SS have informed that their schools will be shut tomorrow as well. There is still no word on Beerwah HS website and Facebook.
A very significant proportion of our students depend on school bus travel.
I have been asked by many parents to make a decision about tomorrow so that they are in the best position to make alternative plans.
For this reason I am cancelling school for tomorrow, Friday Mar 31 as well. This will be regardless of the weather.
My apologies for any inconvenience this decision may cause but without buses running it is not going to be viable for school to continue.
I hope you have a most excellent holiday and we will see you back at GCC again after Easter Monday on April 18.
Mike Curtis, Principal
11:30am: Some Secondary students have assignments that were due in as a hard copy Thursday 30 March. Mike Curtis advises that students should scan and email their assignment in. If they do not have access to a scanner, then students are advised to email their teacher directly. All teacher email addresses are on our website under Contact/Contact Secondary Teachers.
11am: Some local state schools are cancelling school for Friday 31 March even though the weather is predicted to be fine. Principal Mike Curtis is looking into the situation and will advise as soon as he knows more.
Due to the increasing wet weather and dangerous road conditions school is cancelled for Thursday 30 March. Please do not send your children to school today.
