Congratulations to Sophie and Ethan Doyle, who competed at the Regional Track and Field Championships on 26 and 27 August, achieving outstanding results across their events.

Both Sophie and Ethan have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to their athletics, dedicating themselves to year-round training and continually striving to improve their performance. Their hard work, discipline and dedication were certainly reflected in their impressive results at the Regional Championships.

Sophie enjoyed a highly successful competition, finishing 1st in the 3000m and 800m, and 2nd in both the 1500m and 400m.

Ethan also produced an outstanding performance, claiming 1st place in the 1500m and 800m, as well as finishing 2nd in the Tetrathlon.

These results are a fantastic reward for the countless hours Sophie and Ethan have invested in their training throughout the year. Their commitment to their sport is an excellent example of what can be achieved through hard work, perseverance and dedication.

Both students have now qualified to compete at the State Track and Field Championships, which will be held from 15–18 October. We wish Sophie and Ethan all the very best as they take on the best athletes from across Queensland.

We look forward to following their progress and hearing about their results at the State Championships.
