Primary School shows love in action through child sponsorship

Your child has an amazing opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children they have never met.

Our Primary School students this year have been learning about “Love in Action” in Chapels. We have learned about different ways that they can practically show love in action to others. In order to enhance their learning experience, we have organised, in partnership with Compassion, for each year level in the Primary School to sponsor a child in the Philippines. In class, they have also had the opportunity to write a letter to their sponsor friend, pray for them and to learn more about life in the Philippines.

How are we raising money to support our sponsor children? This is where you come in! In order to do so, we have been encouraging students to find ways that they can help around the house in exchange for a coin donation. This will be collected during chapel time.

About Compassion

Compassion has been serving children living in poverty since 1952. Today, Compassion is transforming the lives of more than two million children around the world through more than 12 international partner country offices. More than 120,000 of these children are currently supported through Compassion Australia. Compassion’s ministry is holistic child development in partnership with local churches in over 25 developing countries around the world.

About Child Sponsorship

The Child Sponsorship Program connects each year in Primary School with one child living in poverty, providing not only education and health care but also the encouragement needed to be socially confident and economically self-supporting. Compassion’s holistic approach to child development seeks to release children from spiritual, physical, socio-economical and economic poverty in Jesus’ name.

Thank you for your support. You can read more about Compassion’s work at www.compassion.com.au.
