For those of you who attended the SHINE performances on Friday 11 September I’m sure you would agree that it was a special evening where Music, Dance, Drama and Visual Arts were show cased beautifully. It is wonderful that both Primary and Secondary performances and static displays were included and we were very impressed by the quality of all the group and solo performances as well as the art work displayed.
I overheard some lovely comments about Little Voices, Sing and Shout, our Dance Group and the Primary Band from those who were in the audience. All the hard work and practices culminated in fine performances by the students and everyone involved is to be congratulated. If you were not able to be there – please make a note to attend next year as it is a lovely evening for our College families and others from the community. The fairy lights, chandeliers and illuminated sculpture pieces around the College added a magical dimension to the evening as the lights flickered on and off throughout the night. Thank you to all the parents who support the additional practices and who faithfully attend all public performances.
End of Year Concerts
Preparations have begun for the Prep – Year 2 Carols Night and the Year 3 – 6 Christmas Concert which will be held on Monday night 30 November (Prep – 2) and Tuesday night 1 December (3 – 6). These are very special nights where the College oval is transformed with floodlights, food venders, coffee vans etc and students present their items on a huge stage with all the sound equipment and other “bells and whistles” for their performances.
As Term 3 concludes, we pray that you and your family enjoy a well-deserved break and a time of refreshing.
It’s SPRING so go out and enjoy the flowers, smell the roses and run along our wonderful beaches and feel the sand between your toes.
