As I write this we are preparing for all the events in the last two weeks of the year.
In addition to the Christmas concerts and Orientation Day we are looking forward to our Year 6 Graduation Assembly on Wednesday afternoon 30 November.
After seven years in the primary school, our two Year 6 cohorts will graduate from primary to secondary classes. These 2016 Year 6 students have been a special group of young people who have left their mark on our College during this year. A couple of weeks ago we honoured 27 Students who received green, silver and gold leadership badges for their service in a significant number of primary activities every day of the school week. The number of hours these students have given in service to the College was 1448 which is amazing. They volunteered their time in so many ways as flag monitors, library assistants, soccer referees, Prep – Year 2 lunch eating buddies, OLA equipment monitors, Little Red Cafe helpers, sand toy assistants and in many other capacities . We are so grateful for all they have done for the staff and students throughout the year. And now they have almost completed their time in the primary school and we will be farewelling them next Wednesday and praying God’s blessing on them as they transition to Middle School and the exciting journey ahead for them in Year 7.
As the school year closes I would like to thank you all for your support throughout 2016 and for entrusting your children to us for another year. We consider it a great privilege to partner with you in the education of your children.
May the joy of Christmas and the knowledge that God’s Love is available to all who call on Him be very real to you these holidays.
