Primary Student Council Representatives Organize Assistance

We are very grateful to all families who gave food for those in need in the Sunshine Coast area.  The letter below expresses how the generosity of our GCCC Community provided so many items for them.  Mrs Mitchell, Mrs Jen and the Year 3 – 6 Student Council collected and packed the items for delivery to the centre.

P – 2 Sports Day a Huge Success!

Once again the P – 2 Junior Sports Day on Monday was an incredible success.  It was an absolute joy to watch the students enjoying the tabloid sports and other activities which were so beautifully organized by Wendy Stott – our Primary HPE teacher.

As I watched the parent helpers leading groups of “Green Tree Frogs”, “Red Kangaroos” and “Blue Whales” from each activity to the next and our P and F preparing food for the hungry masses, it was obvious how important our parent body is to  the success of these functions.  The “feel” throughout the day was like a family picnic – relaxed and full of fun.

Finally, I would like to acknowledge the great job done by all our GCCC staff who kept the events running so smoothly and our house captains who decorated tents and led the war cries with such gusto.  Thank you all for such a fantastic day.
