With beautiful weather and a light breeze, music blasting and students and parents cheering racers on, the stage was set for a fantastic morning of Cross-Country racing. Students from Years 3 to 6 participated in age division races ranging from 1.5km to 3km through a mixture of fields, bush and tracks and pathways. The highlight of the day was to see each and every student deliver maximum effort into their race no matter what position they crossed the line.
There were several standout races that saw Hadley Smith finish over a minute ahead in the 8 year old girl race, Sophie Doyle finished over a minute and a half in the 9 year old girl race. Sophie Sharma in 11 year old girls also came in well ahead of the pack in her race. The boys equally delivered great times with a standout in the 9 year boys race who had an extremely close finish with only 2 seconds spacing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
