Presentation Night 2018 – 15 special mentions

Our Presentation Night was an impressive celebration of the year that was at Glasshouse Christian College.

Along with the Academic, Diligence, GREAT and character awards there were highly prized individual awards given out on the night. This year Olivia Grace-Wolfe was Middle School Dux and Aaron Lerch, College Dux. The Year 9 All Rounder was Isabel Holley and the Principal’s Award was presented to Tate Doneathy in Middle School and Jayde Curtis in Senior School. The Emily Lord Senior All Rounder Award was presented to Jasmine Andrews.

The Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork award went to Bakani Kombanie in Year 10 and Darna Andrews in Year 12. The CWA Community Service Award was presented to Ariana Doolan. The University of the Sunshine Coast presented the Rise and Shine awards to Cerys Richardson and JD Theron.

I would also like to congratulate our new Middle School Captains Jade Brown and Mason White along with our College Captains for 2019, Sam Fletcher and Sarah Mens.

The night was much more than presenting awards; it was about celebrating all the students and the College as a whole. Someone likened it to attending a wedding – not everyone is in the bridal party or has a speech to give but everyone is an important part of the event. Thank you to all the parents, caregivers and students who attended the night and supported their fellow students in celebrating together.

GCC Dance Night

Congratulations to Stacey and everyone behind the scenes who played a part in organising Dance Night on Friday night.

The night was beautifully organised and thoroughly entertaining. We have some wonderful dancers. It was also great to see the first representations from our Dance Academy that runs after hours during weekdays.

Full marks to Erin Holland for emcee skills on the night. She was an excellent ambassador for the Arts.

Thanks also to Mr Paul Briton for taking so many beautiful photos. You can see them all here.
