Kevin Galland from “Evergreen Puppet Theatre” took all three Prep classes on a calming, educational journey through an imaginary dive on the reef, called “The Reef Experience”.  The “journey” underwater started as soon as we entered the space where the puppet theatre was set up, when Kevin encouraged us to “swim” gently and calmly through the door, under the fluttering blue and green streamers.

All through the presentation, we listened to a relaxing soundtrack of ocean sounds and gentle music, as we climbed into our imaginary wet suits and fitted our goggles and air tanks. Through Kevin’s use of his realistic puppets, we were introduced to many shy creatures of the reef. They almost seemed like real creatures!

Kevin spoke about how we can care for this precious environment by making sure our litter goes into bins, rather than the ocean or waterways.
