Prep to Year 2 Athletics Carnival

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so when you’ve made a fresh pot of tea, grab a seat in the sun to view the photos from our Prep – Year 2 Athletics Carnival. It’s nearly impossible to bottle up and capture the pure excitement and off-the-charts energy that the little people bring to the junior carnivals; however, Mrs Timmer has captured many beautiful moments from the races, tabloids, and events of the day for GCC families on Pixevety HERE.

In the first section of the day, students were divided into year-level and gender groups to participate in the six rotations, including Races, Tug-of-War, Obstacle Course, Long Jump and modified Discus and Shot Put. Students from Year 6 assisted as event helpers, which was a blessing to staff and students alike.

After a short interval to recharge, students were divided once again into year-level and House groups, creating 18 different teams to participate in running, jumping, throwing, catching, kicking and hitting activities. Students in 6G ran these 18 tabloid events, and what a fantastic job they did fostering involvement and adding to the atmosphere of the day.

House winner was ….. Ararat

SCISSA Gala Day 3
