The children in Prep had a great adventure with a visit to Underwater World to tie in with the “Living and Non Living” unit we are studying in Science. We were a little concerned about the recent fire scare that the facility had nearby in the few days before our visit, but the staff assured us all would be well – and it certainly was!
Each Prep class and the parents and teachers with that class were lead on a guided tour and then met for lunch at the “Seal Show”. After lunch the children were split into very small groups to explore Underwater World with their parent helper. Thanks must go to the parents who very kindly gave up time to help out on the day. They were all so enthusiastic and patient. There were some sleepy children (and adults) on the bus ride home – all tired, but very happy.
