This year the P and F decided to introduce a grants program that was opened to all teachers and Heads of Departments to ask the committee how we could help in multiple smaller ways across the entire College. We were delighted to have 22 responses from the faculty and every single request was solid in its merit.
It was very evident, from the requests made, how much the entire College faculty care about the education and campus day to day life of our children. Initially, the committee had discussed an available amount from fundraising efforts of $15,000 but it became apparent as we went through each submission, that the total amount was going to exceed initial expectations.
Fortunately, we were able to provide assistance across various projects totalling just over $20,000. It is with great excitement we give you our GCC P and F Grants List for 2021, but not before a very heartfelt thanks to everyone who has volunteered over the last few years; this is how the time you have given looks like when combined and shared through the College:

We hope to continue this grants program into 2022 and this is where you come in. We can’t do this with five or six people. It takes a village to raise our community and the culmination of these grants are the best way to show you exactly how every moment of your time as a P and F volunteer, no matter how small, has a big impact.
So how can you help? It really is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
1. Step up and give us some of your time at any of our events like our disco or P and F barbeques.
2. Show your support and donate to any bake sales, Mothers Day stalls, Fathers Day stalls and other fundraisers to help with our grant program .
3. Be the example to your own kids on how you would like them to lead their lives raising up communities through helping others. There are so many small ways, that when combined together, we have the potential to reach our entire school and add value to what already is a fantastic College. Join our Facebook group (search GCC P&F), come along to a meeting, become a part of the team, spearhead a fundraising opportunity but most importantly, remember that many hands make light work. The more of us cheerfully giving what we can, the more money we raise for the grant program, and you’ll see that directly impacting your children’s classrooms and throughout the College campus. We look forward to welcoming you.
