On Saturday 14 September the P and F hosted its annual trivia night and what a great night was had by all who attended! There was laughter and good cheer, a healthy amount of competition, team camaraderie and some brain-twisting questions.
The theme for this year was musical decades and while we had the 80s dominating the themes (who doesn’t love big hair, denim, fluro colours and blue eyeshadow), you couldn’t miss the team effort of everyone who participated. There was so much detail across all the tables in the room.
It is such a fun event that we left feeling upbeat and definitely more knowledgable than when we walked into the room. There is now even discussion about holding the event twice a year!
We were honoured with a very special appearance of excellent coffee (and hot chocolate) from our very own Coffee Club Beerwah parents; Mark and Michele. Their delicious brews certainly hit the spot and they generously donated the gold coin donation from every drink made to the P and F. Thanks Mark and Michele and the Coffee Club Beerwah team. You are great supporters of the school and of the P and F and are truly appreciated.
Not only did we have another brilliant night but we raised about $1100 which is an amazing effort. The P and F committees thanks everyone who contributed, everyone who joined us, and everyone who supported the event. It is your support that helps us make a difference and adds value to the school. It is your support that makes these events fun and memorable.
If you are new to the school or just not sure what we do as a P and F, we’d love to see you at our next meeting (Wednesday 9 October 6.30pm GCC Library) when we get together as the Super Happy Fun Time Club to put our collective minds together to have a chat and a laugh and come up with ideas. Feel free to email us [email protected] and join our Facebook group (search GCC P&F).
