Hi Everyone

Here we are at the end of Term 1. The Primary school students enjoyed the end of term disco last Friday night, dancing with their friends. It is such a great night for the kids, and you could see the joy on their faces. A big hit for the night was the rendition of ” Let it Go” belted out by the Prep  to Year 2 students. It’s not a kid’s occasion without a little bit of Frozen. I did see a few boys with fingers in ears or running a mile when this song came on so I should probably say it was belted out mostly by the girls. Thanks DJ Kingy for a song play list well put together for all ages.

I would like to thank all the helpers, too many names to mention, but you know your help is appreciated as the night can’t happen without lots of parents lending a hand, Jayne Hinds and I can’t thank you enough. I’m looking forward to the next Primary disco at the end of Term 2. Mark it on your calendar – 12 June.

The P and F had a great fundraiser last week with the sibling photos. Thanks so much to Paul Briton who donated his time and discs of photos so that the P and F could raise money for our College. Also thanks to Kelly Yeo and Shondra Britton for coordinating everyone each morning so that we could keep to the time schedule. Great job all round. The discs will be distributed early in Term 2.

Next term we have a few things organised by the P and F that we will be needing volunteers for. First thing is the weekend of 2 and 3 May, where the P and F are having a food stall at the annual Wood Expo in Maleny. If you can help for a few hours on either day, please email your details to P and F email address below.

We also have the Mothers’ Day stall in May, barbecues for the College Open Day on 16 May and athletics carnivals in June. So lots of help and helpers are needed.

We have a big fundraiser planned for Term 2 that all families can participate in and will be a fabulous way for families to “leave their mark” on our College. Watch this space for further details on how you can “pave your way” into our College future.

Our next P and F meeting will be held Wednesday 22nd April at 7pm in College library. All welcome.

Have a safe and happy Easter.
