What does it take to walk around the world? For adventurer Sam Clear, it took blistered feet, a stubborn kind of hope and a mission: unity.

This week, our Year 8 cohort heard Sam share vivid scenes from his global trek. He spoke about deserts, crowded city streets and lonely back roads; about strangers who opened doors; and about the moments that nearly ended the journey-serious injuries, attacks, and multiple close calls. Through each challenge, he returned to the same purpose: bringing people together.

Sam’s session wasn’t just a talk. With interactive activities and short videos, he showed how small daily choices – helping, listening, standing with someone who’s isolated-can add up to something powerful. The message for our students was clear: you don’t have to cross a continent to make a difference. Start where you stand.
