Not many staff at GCC can say that they remember the Administration offices being Year 1 classrooms, the frog pond near the old demountable French room or seeing the library being built but Tanya Lindsay has seen it all! After 20 years at GCC, Mrs Lindsay is moving into semi-retirement. She has been an integral part of many families’ lives as they begin their school journey in Prep. A frequent contributor to the newsletter with parents’ tips and tricks, Mrs Lindsay is moving away from a full-time teaching load and will be seen around the school doing supply/relief teaching when classroom teachers are away.
Mrs Lindsay has worked hard over the many years to help students learn to read, write and count. She always strives to work with parents for the best outcome for students and is passionate about helping little ones learn about Jesus.
The Primary School has been busy blessing Mrs Lindsay and making her last few weeks memorable. If you see her at one of our end-of-year events be sure to pass on your thanks and well wishes. I will miss Mrs Linsday and her many years of expertise. I am looking forward to working with the new Prep team and am grateful that Mrs Dodwell isn’t going anywhere just yet!
See you later Mrs Lindsay!
