After the Year 12 formal on Friday the 18th of November, a brave group of staff members took 67 of our graduates on a mystery all-night bus tour. The College sees this as an excellent opportunity to finish the year well. I am incredibly proud to be associated with a school that is willing to subsidise a fantastic, optional post-Formal event for Grade 12 students.
There have now been 6 Mystery Bus tours and it gets better each year with between $3500-$4000 donated as prizes throughout the night. These prizes included cash, gift cards, goods, services and discounted activities on the Sunshine Coast.
The tour included trampolining, parkour and ninja warrior courses at Urban Xtreme, then bowling, karaoke, pool tables, pizza, mini-golf and laser tag at Strike Bowling in the Queen Street Mall. A lovely photo opportunity then presents itself at Mt Coot-tha for a brilliant sunrise.
Thank you to all the businesses, College families and individuals that put work in to make this night what it was. It truly blessed the students and gave them a send-off to remember!
Staff Involved: Tanya Cullen (2nd tour); Matt Beattie (rookie); Rob Maguire (6th tour); Rhiannon Vaoesea (5th tour); James Follett (2nd tour); Isaiah Logan (rookie); Matthew Gibson (rookie).
