Many years after a child has grown up and moved on to other great adventures the main memories they will have of school will be their camp weeks. I would like to say thanks to parents for entrusting us with your kids.
We thoroughly enjoyed sharing this week with them and also to the staff who came and gave up their regular hometime to stay ‘on duty’ for the duration of the camp away from their own families and regular home comforts.
An extra acknowledgement to the Year 8 teachers who organised and ran the whole show for the Year 8 alternative Activity Week.
The Year 7 camp to Canberra was a wonderful opportunity for our students to have first-hand experience of our nation’s curltural and historical heritage. Students gained some insight into our politics, involvement in wards and Australian money through museums, interesting tours and role plays.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge the Australian Federal Government which funded a componenet of this camp.
Please enjoy the articles and photos in other Middle School posts.
Shave for A Cure Fundraiser
This was a whole school event, however the Year 9 leaders had the privilege of choosing the ultimate crazy hair/hat class winners. And some photos for this are also below. Well done Emma Johnson, Andrea Curtis and Jayme-lee Groer for your amazing effort in individual fundraising for this worthy cause.
Over the break you should receive your child’s progress reports. This is to give you some information for the very important Parent Teacher Interviews. This is the real ‘report’. Please come and meet your child’s teachers. This is a valuable way to assist in your child’s education and for us to work together with the same goal – the best education for your child.
Have a blessed and safe Easter break.
