It is a privilege to work at our school – the dedicated staff, the hard-working students and with parents who are such an integral part of this community. Thanks for making the effort to come to our Middle School Parent Information evening last Wednesday night. It is always really helpful to meet at this point in the year. It is helpful to touch base, share the goals and aspirations we have at GCCC for our students and their journey this year. As well the conversations with individual parents about particular needs and concerns and even highlights is important. If you were unable to make it but would still like to see your child’s Pastoral Care teacher or the Year Level Coordinator, please drop by after school one day. Send an email to the teacher you would like to meet to make an arrangement.
The power points and newsletters that were used/handed out on this night are also available on our website.
I would like to make note of two very important online sites that are integral to our operation:
CONNECT – this site is where you can access the important learning materials, assessments and homework details for each of your child’s subjects. Your child will need to login for this. You can also access as a guest, the parent handbook, the Behaviour Management Handbook and the Assessment Calendars.
iLearn – this site gives you access to your child’s particular school records such as their school reports, timetables, any positive or negative behaviour notes and merits/demerits and where you can check your contact and child’s medical details. You will need to refer back to an email you received with your login and password earlier this year.
