Three Glasshouse Christian College students, Lily Short, Tyler Short and Hayley Wall competed in the Wide Bay Regional Interschool Equestrian Championship on 6-7 March.
The competition required competitors to nominate in a Jump Height division for either the Primary (Yr 1-6) or Secondary (Yr 7-12) age groups. Students competed against each other in their chosen height divisions in at least two rounds of jumping.
Our Glasshouse Christian College riders competed strongly and showed their ability and class gaining some fantastic results. It was a fantastic weekend and outcome for our students who proudly represented their school.
Lily Short entered in two height divisions on two different horses. Lily was the Overall winner in the Primary 70cm jump height riding Sonny and she placed second on Tommy in the 90 cm jump height. What a fantastic result!
Tyler Short placed in the top 10 in the 90cm height and the 1.10cm jump height.
Hayley Wall who is just in Year 3 placed 3rd overall 60cm height.
It is great to see these students excelling in the sport they train hard at and are passionate about.
