Well another term is over for Kitchen Garden and it has been full of fun and activities.
We made Anzac biscuits, cooked for the Maleny Show and got a first and third, discovered interesting facts about bugs in the gardens and then hunted for them. (I think finding worms were the favourite things to find), and of course, we did lots of cooking and work in the garden.
In Weeks 9 and 10 we made a delicious pasta salad with lots of lettuce, cucumber, capsicum, rocket and parsley. It is a very simple recipe but so wonderful to harvest our own food and be eating it in the next 30 minutes.
We have harvested lots of oranges off our trees and the children have enjoyed eating them.
Our potatoes 🥔 are in the garden and we look forward to digging them up in a few months time.
Have a wonderful holiday.
See you all in Term 3 for more fun in the garden.
